| The idea |
|
Ready ? Steady ! Go! For over a year now, we have been spending most of our time together… At first mere expatriated colleagues, then flat mates, we have soon become a close bunch at parties, week-ends and outings. Being on the same wave line and not very keen on the prospect of going back to France to take up our daily work and routine again, the idea of a "roaming break" soon came up. From a six-month trip round South America the idea quickly developed into an 18-month journey round 4 continents ! We all agreed simply after a "Give me five" at the end of a hard week, in the arctic New Hampshire forest and after a not altogether sober evening / a few merry evening drinks. We are then in November 2003… |
The idea gained ground into our four heads. It was the purchase of a world map, on the 2004 SuperBowl day (the New England Patriotswill be our new heroes for 3 days!!!) which really launched us on the project. After several brain-storming sessions we settle on a 112-month itinerary across 16 countries. And off we go! 7 months left, that's both long and short ! | ||

The Urge We're really lucky : 4 people on get well together, who have the same urge for discoveries, meetings, surprises, the same greediness. Even if going round the world had not been a childhood dream for each of us, the Tour@PIIC becomes an evidence, the opportunity is too great not to take it: we have the urge , the means ans it's also the right time for it. |
