The ticket We have opted for the One World Ticket. One World is the union of 7 big companies which covers most of the tour we are planning and which offers special tariffs according to areas instead of mileage. The reasons for our choice are first the price ( 2400 euros for 4 areas and 20 flights) and the fact that this union includes Lan Chile, the only company which serves Rapa Nui or Easter Island. And we really want to see the giants turning their backs to the ocean…However we shall have to add one inland flight in Brazil and perhaps, according to our timing, one in Indonesia. Good to know : the fare you are given does not include airport taxes…so, our advice : ask about the detail of these taxes for you may be requested to pay for them twice… and eventually that comes up to quite a sum ! |
Let's talk cash We have opened a mutual bank account in which each of us deposits the budget for our journey in two instalments. Irène will be our Chancellor of the Exchequer. We have opted for Visa Premier and Gold Master Card because their insurance terms for a one year trip are good and because more conventional insurances are most expensive. By the way, one important point, we ate setting off with 15000 euros per person.We'll see in the end if the air fare is included or not in that amount. A positive answer to that question would be welcome …Well, but …let's wait and see! |

Los papeles Claro que el pasaporte debe ser valido mas de 6 meses después de la fecha de regreso. Los carnés de conducir francés, del New Hampshire e internacional pueden servir. Los documentos necesarios para entrar en Australia (http://www.eta.immi.gov.au) y para el pedido de visa chino (http://www.amb-chine.fr/fra) Todos esos documentos, así como los billetes, las direcciones y los seguros estarán guardados en ficheros mandados en una dirección mail tipo Hotmail, Yahoo... |
